I’ve practised the taoist energy meditation for 2 years and i’ve read that in order to transform your sexual you have to move the sexual energy to the crown chakra. However for me, without me doing anything, sexual energy has sometimes during the day spontaneous risen to the heart chakra, and transformed the sexual energy to pure ecstatic bliss.
Why does the sexual energy have to transform in the crown chakra in taoism, and not in the heart chakra?

I’m not sure about this but I’ll give you my best guess.
First, I don’t think there is anything wrong, per se, with bringing sexual energy up to the heart. Though I’ve never investigated this in any great detail, I believe some of the women’s sexual practices involve this very thing.
I’ve also heard a senior healing tao instructor suggest that men bring it up to the heart in certain circumstances (e.g., if retention was making you too sexually aggressive). And I once heard Chia say if you couldn’t pull sexual energy up to the head then it was fine to put it in the dan tien.
So it doesn’t HAVE to go up to the crown.
The point with bringing it up to the crown is to circulate it through the miccrocosmic orbit in the reverse direction that energy typically flows. That is, to circulate up the back and down the front. There are a number of reasons for this.
First, is to “nourish the brain” with the energy. Second is, by reversing the natural flow of energy, to retard the natural aging process of the body. Third is to, by circulation, to stimulate not just the crown or the heart but all the chakras. And lastly, such circulation accomplishes a certain level of tranformation of the circulated energy.
It should be noted that circulation through the orbit DOES IN FACT BRING THE ENERGY THROUGH THE HEART CHAKRA. However, it also allows it to flow through all the other major chakras, stimulating them and, like I said, performing an overall positive function on the organism.
Hope that helps.

It doesn’t have to.
And different Taoist sources employ different emphasis-distributions amongst the three centers (power, love, wisdom). (..lookin at it from a 3-center view.)There’s been substantial recognition on this board, over the years, of the importance of heart-jing blending and, in Taoism, often comes under the title of “Kan and Li” (water and fire) meditations. Some references to that at Alchemical Taoism.com.
