Hello,
I’ve still been doing a lot of grounding
practices. Probably about 1.5 hrs. every
morning of a mixture of riding the cosmic
horse, ocean breathing, deep earth pulsing,
and/or iron shirt.Noticed that when breathing out thru my
kidneys down to earth that they felt like
wet limp socks. It was then uncomfortable
to breathe in. Try inflating heavy wet
socks, haha. I’d have to start breathing
in using multiple short breaths.Normally I face the north but for some
reason today I faced south. About half way
in to my practice I noticed that as I was
breathing out my kidneys began to expand
instead of the usual droop. It was as if
they were emptying and filling at the same
time. Breathing in became so easy. My whole
body wanted to join in and I felt my knees,
jaws, teeth expanding with each exhale.I got a little excited and stopped practicing just
to take it in. While standing quietly, I noticed
my toes start to tingle. The feeling grew until
it became like a mass of tiny orgasms in my toes
which made me smile and laugh. The laughter caused
the orgasmic tingle to run up my ankles, legs, and
into my belly from there it ran up my back (which felt
unbelievably great because I had been holding a little
tension there lately). My body began to undulate as
it ran thru the orbit. The sensations expanded into
all of my organs. Everyone was enjoying it, except
my spleen. I looked in and saw a little kid hiding
out of the fun “you guys have fun, poor little me is
going to sulk in the corner”. I remembered those
feelings and went in to give hugs and smiles. My spleen
softened a bit and I felt a smile back.I felt a lot of mucous fill up my throat. I couldn’t
hear because my ears totally clogged and my nose
became stuffed. To help move it I started practicing
again and finished with a long round of DHQ.I was afraid that I might have some energy stuck in
my head but it seems fine. Normally after an intensive
experience I feel a bit irritable but I feel calm and
clear. The mucus seems to be that some deep Jing is
moving.Lots of grounding, the more the better.

It’s like somebody at your open door that you
are trying to entice to come in. The more
you want them to come in, the more they refuse.
The minute you stop trying, they come in of
their own free will. This is what I’m reminded of, from your sharing.
After feeling some “stuckness” with your previous
approach, you changed things up. You changed
directions, and just allowed for the possibility
that things might be different, and in so doing,
they were.This is like life.

StevenMarch 24, 2012 at 4:12 pm #39150Hi,
Yeah, I feel like a lot of my
impatience is fading. I’m
starting to enjoy allowing
things to happen instead of
hastening something.Thanks for your input.
AdelApril 10, 2012 at 7:54 am #39152I think reading and studying about qigong and medicine are useless for your own benefit. i’ve been there read heaps and heaps and found the best ways to care for myself according the to the tao and it was all rubbish. There is a reason why all the ancient texts are so poetic, it is because they give some secret but it is not to the point so that it gives you chance to explore yourself.
I used to read up heaps on every technique and try to perform it step by step and improve each step like a computer programmer would (my degree) but it didn’t help me any. Sure i felt strong energy and amazing (to me) chi but it didn’t do me any benefit. Only when i listened to myself did i find the answers.
Now i think the best thing is just to sink down in to what feels awesome. Ignore the outside and just be.
TCM and reading about qigong is only good for treating other people. For yourself, reading is only confusing yourself, you just gotta do what feels good! You can always apply the TCM theory later and realise what is really wrong. So someone thought they needed more ‘x’ element and faced a certain way and ate certain foods according to the TCM theories they read, but finally they found facing a different direction and eating different foods they got more benefit. Then a new TCM theory could be applied and suggest more things you could do to benefit yourself. But later you could also find it to be wrong on a smaller scale and then you find some more theories to better yourself. When you forget all the theories and just do what feels good and helps you thats when ur at one with the tao. After you give up all theories then you can develop your own precise theory that is correct and true and quickly heal yourself. The theory is good in that it can give you ideas. But when you forget all those ideas and just go for your life and get the best results is when you realise the theory is just a waste of time.
Infact… finally the theory is WHAT makes me sick….
But then i gotta do something with my life hey, it needs structure… and so back comes the theory once again 🙂
