I was wondering does anyone have any ideas or would like to share what Solstice practices they perform on “Winter Solstice” or during these magical times? Next one is coming in a matter of weeks and would like to optimize this years Winter one( 12/21/05 1:35pm). Thanks SnowLion
I have begun over the past year to use the Primordial Chi Kung form Michael has transmitted. The form is relatively easy to learn, though it appears complex, and is such an attractive and supportive vehicle when nature is pulsing back and forth, when it reaches the end of one flow to change into the other. The form helps me embrace the center and feels like a ritualistic blessing.
I am honored to know it, feel it and still be amazed at how it continually offers fresh experiences. That is something I have done this year and encourage you to look into it if it strikes your fancy. It is on Michael’s site. babaBaba,
I wonder how it would have been if you spent proportionately longer in concentrating on the dan tien and its relevant points, than on those in the head and upper front of the body. Possibly you would have had the dan tien as the foundation of the MO a lot sooner.
Dec. 21 is the solar date for doing a ceremony. As Baba suggests, the most elegant and powerful ceremony I have found is Pirmoridal Qigong/ wuji gong = Skill at Entering the Supreme Mystery.
There is a more advanced practice which I was remiss in not sharing with this forum in a timely way.
that is to practice on the New Moon before the Winter Solstice, and on every day between them leading up to the Solar Winter Solstice.
This captaures the Great Yin of the Moon and the Sun.
I will send out a copy of my winter solstice ceremony shortly to my elist/Tao News.
