I found this to be interesting, as everything relates to everything, why not look into economics and stock market strategy…
‘Everybody wants to know what the coming year will bring in terms of the markets –
so let’s look at some esoterics and cycles – that’s about all anybody has to go with on historical data aside from sheer common sense about what the short term looks like, e.g. inverted yield curves, or housing data or whatever. Honestly, we do look at some esoteric indicators ; some analysts use sun-spots, some astrology, some consumer preferences
By the way, the most striking year seems to be the Year of the Snake : 1929 : world stock market crash ; 1941 : WWII raging in full strength ; 1989 : fall of Communism in Europe ; 2001 : Tech market crash ; 2013 : ?? And we keep in mind that many esoterics hold that the 2012-2013 timeframe is the “end of time” according to the ancient Mayan calendar and will mark a rebirth in the world order and an upheaval in the global economic order. Don’t cringe – I’m just reporting what we read. Another interesting fact that we have been researching for many years now and which has not been reported anywhere else, as far as I know, is the fact that many market relationships seem to evolve around the 3-6-9 vibrational characteristics based on numerology. We have been developing a chart which goes back to 1850 which will boggle the mind of any stock market and gold watcher. For example 1971 = 1+9+7+1 = 18 = 1+8 = 9. That was the year when Bretton Woods fell apart and US President Nixon went off the Gold Standard and the gold price was thrown open. Nine years later in 1980 = 1+9+8+0 = 18 = 1+ 8 = 9 it reached a high. A trine of nines. 1998 marked a market low in the commodities complex. 1998 = 1+9+9+8 = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9. From 1980 to 1998 is 18 years or 2 nines. From 1998 to 2007 is a single nine period and note that 2007 also equals 9. These are not coincidences. The open question remains whether this has any meaning in the larger cycle or is it bound to be a mid-term high or low price? Our long range cyclical gold high is to occur in 2016 which also equals 9 and note that the high of 1980 to 2016 is a delta of 36 years or 3+6 = 9 and 4 x 9 (4 cycles of nine). Numbers do have meaning. The “why” is far too complex for this publication. We observe and calculate and report. Only you can decide if this has any meaning for you. Just this morning I spoke with another financial astrologer and he predicts a sort of “gold crash” in the September 2007 timeframe due to planetary movements just as he interpreted that due to planetary constellations in 2001 the precious metals would start to move erratically higher. Nobody is infallible – again, we are just reporting. Just to note, he is a successful currency trader based on financial astrology, so one should at least keep an open mind, I feel.
Moving on, without observing any of these esoteric indicators our forecast for world markets is a benign to positive-tendency year. Liquidity will remain intact. The world economies remain imbalanced and fragile – as they have been for many years and yet all are intertwined. It will be interesting to hear what the upcoming World Economic Forum in Switzerland has to report on – most likely only positive spin. Just to note, China has only 1.5% of its reserves in gold whereas most countries maintain a 3% level. If China were to diversify more of its US Dollar reserves into gold, this would certainly be supportive of higher gold prices. Likewise, a number of countries, Russia, UAE, China are diversifying out of the US Dollar and this could give impetus to a further weakened US Dollar and Euro strength. With US manufacturing at only 12% of GDP it seems nearly impossible that the US could ever export its way back to a healthy and balanced economy. The Pentagon has now asked for another $100 billion for Iraq, Afghanistan and new military equipment. New accounting measures now passed in the US will make pension commitments more transparent and may reveal larger holes in company and government finances than reported previously. The follow on to the sad story of world imbalances is that the recent US election resulting in a democratic controlled Congress may now start to implement protectionist legislation against China on imports. In 2006 the Congress tabled 26 pieces of anti-China laws. If the Democratic Congress passes some of these it will signal a new low in the world economy and could trigger devastating economic dominoes and hurt egos. Strangely, the US with the most to lose is seemingly playing with economic fire. Weak manufacturing, heavy imbalanced consumption, a weakening currency and asset imbalances (housing). China won’t be fooled with – they are gathering resources, moving into high technology and broadening their reach and diplomatic influence.

January 23, 2007 at 5:28 pm #20665I don’t think anyone knows what’s going to happen anymore, especially after last year’s predictions. I think we are in a period of changing energies that is so profound that we will be affecting the outcome of things more obviously that ever with our intentions from the spiritual perspective. People have a tendency to want to clock and predict things, and work from statistical analysis, and as far as I’m concerned we are at the beginning of the time when that won’t work at all anymore because we tend to do it out of fear and survival. The new consciousness taking root now is more like what the Hawai’ians call the Aloha spirit. “Community” is what will be supported by the energies more and more as the years go on.
My prediction for the year of the Pig?
Anyone who acts like a pig is going to end up in deep shit.
Smiling in the snow,
AlexanderJanuary 24, 2007 at 3:26 am #20667you must mean a western pig, not a chinese one!
January 24, 2007 at 8:18 am #20669Can you clarify what you mean by last year’s predictions.
I think that Michael’s predictions were right on the mark.
Red Fire Dog Year – Signified social upheaval and demand for justice.
This certainly happened here in Hungary where I live and work. After the leaked tape of the PM Gyurcsany where he admitted lying to the public and the revelations of the money laundering of 4 Billion dollars in Indonesia by the same government there massive barking for justice. And on the day of the 50th anniversary of the 56 uprising against the communists there were clashes on the streets, rubber bullets, police brutality, bleeding bystanders and fire. A RED (read communist)FIRE DOG year indeed, especially as the the current government are in fact the literal succesors to the former communist regime.
The 911 truth movemment also made massive strides Charlie Sheen spoke out, polls show that most Americans believe it was an inside job, I finally managed to convince my parents ( a daunting task) with the help of the loose change film.
Fear and the survival instinct is a very real, valid force and doesn’t warp predictive ability. Its how you respond to fear that makes the difference. Making predictions doesn’t negate free will but gives it a context in which to work.Dylan

If you want to balance one side’s propoganda with another side’s propoganda, there is a well reseached and cited video that debunks Loose Change point for point.
January 25, 2007 at 3:13 am #20673Hi Dylan,
The predictions I refer to are most of the ones I saw that were made by people who wanted to be quite specific about things, such as the what Randolpf Buss says in the article Wendy posted- “Honestly, we do look at some esoteric indicators ; some analysts use sun-spots, some astrology, some consumer preferences.” I do not put people like Michael in the category of people making “predictions.”
There are many out there who use methods to try to divine what will happen specifically and I think it is a distraction. For instance, last July I made friends with someone who knew of several major people and groups who were using finely honed analysis methods to predict market flows and other things in the world. One of the people he referred me to read about is named Archie Crawford. He is a well-known financial analyst who uses very in-depth astrology to make his predictions and give advice and was said to have had a 90% accuracy rate. My friend saw him at a conference last May where Archie said to a group of 300 people that the astrological energies were going to be such in September that it was most likely that there would be a complete overturning of the government here, a coup of sorts. And that it would be so intense as to involve the probable death of GWB.
Obviously the closest thing to a coup that occured last fall was the election in November which changed the balance of power here.
I am more interested in the general flow of the energies and what we can do with them from the intent level, and I believe that is more our responsibility than trying to deduce logically, even through esoteric means, what WILL happen. We are creatures of choice who are always creating. And no matter what the tendency of the past has been we can create something different by flowing with the incoming spritual energies.
As I see it, most people check their astrology and use other tools not as if they were a part of what is going on in the heavens but as if they were being acted upon by things and had to set themselves up either to get out of the way of something bad or time something just right so they could be in on a good thing and make their lives better. Both of these typical behaviors do not involve trusting your innate sense of harmony and destiny to bring you to the right place at the right time, and, as someone who practices astrology, I believe this is the wrong use of it. Attunement is the root skill we are honing in Daoism through our practices.
An example of what I mean when I say that people use these methods out of fear when they could be using their inner guidance is the friend I spoke of. He followed the advice of a well-known and seemingly reliable group using certain energy flow prediction techniques who determined that there would be a terrific drop in the stock market from October through January. He invested with the understanding that the market would drop and he would profit from this because of the type of investment he made. None of what was predicted happened and I believe that there are so many unpredictable factors in the works these days relating to consciousness that external methods are becoming less and less reliable. So while there is a history of certain things happening under certain astrological configurations which worked in the past, these things are changing now because of the times. (One of the most famous examples is the twenty year Jupiter conjunct Saturn cycle which coincides with our presidential elections. U.S. presidents, starting with Lincoln, who were elected during this transit were actually assasinated up until Ronald Reagan who was shot but not killed. GWB was “elected” during one and it didn’t happen to him either.)
There are groups of people all over the world now who are meditating to bring the world into balance. This plus the action of the Dao on things is a very potent factor which has built up quite a lot of momentum in the last two decades.
Blessings, Alexander
January 25, 2007 at 9:18 am #20675Well said. I see this playing out in my personal life all the time as decisions are made that go seemingly ‘against’ what would be more comfortable. In relationships with others and with myself. As if the inner threshold and what is at stake are now rising together to create opportunities woven from new fabric. Bar
January 25, 2007 at 2:26 pm #20677Yes. > “As if the inner threshold and what is at stake are now rising together to create opportunities woven from new fabric.”
It’s a funny thing. We humans have been broadcasting to the universe for hundreds of years now that we want to understand it and know about it, penetrate its mysteries. And now, in the face of a vast amount of scientific and personal information showing us how things really are, it comes down to taking the final step – acknowledging that Consciousness is at the root of it all and is the most powerful effector of the changes we experience. This has given us very cold feet. I believe we are seeing the last vestiges of our fear of our own power and our true nature (and also our fear of the essentially loving nature of the universe) when we see all the resistance coming up in the world lately against all things good and freeing.
I’ll tell you a dream I had last July.
I was walking through a twilight setting neither outside nor inside. There were few people around and this seemed strange. I was wondering where others were. I was very alert and intent on finding “Something”. I started to come across a few souls and they seemed to share the feeling of looking for that thing too. Most weren’t finding it and acted confused and upset. A few were showing signs of getting it. Then I saw a man who had found it. He was more substantial than the others and he was moving his hands and arms around in a way that resembled someone who was juggling. And he was smiling. I could see what was going on with him and what he had found but the words didn’t come to me until I was on my way “down” to waking. At that point I heard a voice tell me, “The actual fabric of your reality has changed.” And I understood this to mean that the field itself was radically different. That from that point on the way things worked was going to be more and more in the new paradigm. The man who had found “it” had been actualizing his ability to access the field directly for what he needed rather than to go outside of himself for anything. The ones who were not able to do this were suffering. They were trying to get what they needed in the old way reliant on externals.
The primary thing for us is to have the “vertical” relationship- us in alignment with the Dao/Self/Spirit/Being and then to project ourselves out horizontally into Creation. The ones who have been able to do this successfully in the past have been called masters. Now, the field is such so that it is no longer supporting the old style of being and manifesting. It is moving back into the harmony of the whole. I believe this is the underlying reason why we are seeing som much movement in the world. It is our responsibility to align with this greater movement and flow with it and this requires high levels of trust.
Learning to flow and to juggle,
-AlexanderJanuary 25, 2007 at 4:59 pm #20679Last night I was talking about it exactly the same to my still-partner and for the first time it looked that he started to understand this.
The fact is when I started to talk about my world view last week ,it was the very reason why he ‘wanted’ to divorce because my ideas are in contradiction with his old world ideas.
And see today his spine cracked, he is nearly cripple, the fears are rushing, his body is in terror for the change and is causing his spine to collapse.Only two days ago he started to see that his ‘moral’ was a way of avoiding and that he in fact was a coward. I was like WOW…
I see how his walls are tumbling, I see how fragile he is as well how much beauty is coming to the surface. And I am still like WOW…
I am totally convinced that we are very much able to create much more than we ‘believe’, the windows are opening, the possibilities are endless, the treasures are there to be found by us, not even difficult, just there waiting for us.
You explained it very very well Alexander,
lets do it…. :))))))))))))))January 26, 2007 at 4:16 am #20681“…the treasures are there to be found by us, not even difficult, just there waiting for us.”
Waiting for our “YES!”
i thank you God for this amazing
day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes-ee cummings

Just seen your post.
Was intrigued and checked it out.
Totally unimpressed – typical strawman attempt. We can go on like this forever but if you want a debunking of the debunking check this out
Screw Loose Change DebunkedThis includes point for point what Loose Change stated, what Screw Loose Change stated and what the rebuttal states.
At the end of the day you have to look at each point yourself and make your own decision based on the information you have available and for me the logic points to an inside job.
Also Screw Loose Change doesn’t even make its own film, just comments, irrelevantly and often childishly on the points that Loose Change made.Screw Loose Change Nailed!

Pigs are very intelligent creatures even if they are food! Wallowing in Mud is good for your skin and can cure numerous ailments but not pig-headedness unfortunately!
January 31, 2007 at 5:17 pm #20685I’m not impressed with the conspiracy theory, nor the counter conspiracy theory, nor counter counter conspiracy theory. I’m just numb to it all.
If someone doesn’t like America (or President Bush), chances are that they believe the conspiracy theory. And vice versa. The same with elections being rigged. If someone’s guy looses, then the fix is in. It’s all politics and not the good kind.
Suffice it to say, if you actually listen to radical Muslims you will hear the chant “Death to America”. You can hear this in the Middle East, Europe, and America.
There have been terrorist attacks on the United States by radical Muslims since its birth. If you research Thomas Jefferson and Muslims, you’ll get a very interesting history lesson. At one point the United States government was paying 1/3 of all taxes as tribute to Muslim pirates so they’d stop attacking our trade ships. The day after Jefferson became president he sent the fleet to stop them. He said the situation could only be resolved through the medium of war. When you hear the verse “to the shores of tripoli” that’s Jefferson stopping radical Muslims.
Will we ever know the truth about 911? I’ve no clue. Both doubters and believers already think we do. But we do know the truth about radical Muslims.
So the world is going to be an even more interesting place. Will Iran collapse from within with the help of Saudi Arabia or is more war about to break out?
I’m not sure why so many believe war is bad. Sometimes the medium of war is needed. Yin and Yang, fire and water, war and peace: can any exist without the other? Why is one bad and the other good? It’s all part of the Tao.
February 1, 2007 at 4:54 am #20687“I’m not sure why so many believe war is bad. Sometimes the medium of war is needed.”
Yi Tao, Go to http://www.questionwar.com and read the cover page and then tell me you still believe that what you were taught to believe about this world can possibly be true. Read especially about WHO increasingly has been killed in these manufactured wars-for-profit.
“Yin and Yang, fire and water, war and peace: can any exist without the other? Why is one bad and the other good? It’s all part of the Tao.”
You are using Daoism as an explanation for the abberated extremes of yin and yang created by society. Daoism never condones these things as right living. All Daoist masters have preached balance and harmony within so that it will happen without. None has ever preached, “Go to war so you can have a balanced world.”

PS- Last year the city of NY finally released taped briefings of their firemen who were at the 911 scene. All the firemen reported having seen the same thing- the building blowing up from internal demolition.
February 1, 2007 at 8:29 am #20689You should be aware that British and American Special forces spent most of the cold war training these radical Muslims in order to fight the war by proxy with the U.S.S.R through various regimes in the Middle East and Afghanistan. This practice continued after the cold war and evolved into the practice of “fighting international terrorism” where the terrorists are really controlled by the West.
It amounts to a huge global protection racket and readymade justifications for invasion of countries whose resources are ripe for picking.
This is not just America(911) and Britain(7/7) but also Russia who orchestrated the bombings of those flats by “Chechnyen terrorists” to justify the occupation of Chechnya. War is the oldest racket in the book and the most profitable for the chosen few.
If you don’t believe me listen to Ed Haney, one of the founders of Delta Force who has spoken out and states that the Americans have set up civil war in Iraq deliberatlely through false flag attacks.
Fighting to defend one’s country, family and loved ones is noble (not glorious)and in alignment with Taoism – true yang – but unjustified massacre of innocent civilians under a false pretext is NOT the way – false yang.February 1, 2007 at 11:54 am #20691Sun Tzu never condones war. I’m sure you have read it and if you look again you will see that war for him is the LAST resort and is a sign that all other strategies have failed. That said, he does accept the necessity of war sometimes and wrote his book as a guide to the best ways to resolve not perpetuate combat.
All the other Taoist masters I know of have this atttude. Martial arts are a noble thing and the Chinese Martial arts originated (in my opinion) with Taoists and not Buddhists. The aim of Martial arts is peace as Morihei Ueshiba concluded and he should know. He was in the Russo Japanese War and a military martial arts instructor but became sickened by the atttude of the military and had a literal great vision of the spirit of peace.
As I have said the good fight is part of the Tao, but what is the good fight? It is certainly NOT massacring, maiming, bombing from a distance innocent civilians – women and children, torturing and starving under the false pretext of a “justified holy war” against terrorists that they themselves have trained and set up.
The stategy of the New World Order is to escalate War and suffering in order to reduce world population, the EXACT OPPOSITE of Sun Tzu’s philosophy. -
